2024 South Surrey White Rock Spring Festival Gala and First Temple Fair

In 2024, we played a key role in enhancing the visibility and impact of the 15th Annual South Surrey White Rock Spring Festival Gala and introducing a brand-new side event, the First Temple Fair.

Despite the gala’s long-standing history, it was the first time a promotional video was created for the event. InnoCommunity produced the video and successfully promoted it across multiple platforms, including Xiaohongshu (Red), Instagram, and WeChat, effectively reaching a broader audience. As a result, many new immigrants learned about the gala for the first time.

Additionally, we collaborated with the organizers to plan and execute the First Temple Fair, which served as a side event to the gala. The fair drew a significant crowd, including notable attendees such as MLAs and the Mayor of Surrey, making it a major highlight of the community celebration.

Through these efforts, InnoCommunity Youth Foundation demonstrated its commitment to bridging cultural gaps, supporting local traditions, and fostering community engagement.

Supporting Art Classes with Teacher Grace

The Arts Umbrella South Surrey location was closed due to a rent increase, leaving many programs, including art classes taught by Grace Gihm, without a venue. However, several students were eager to continue their art journey with Grace.

We help by sharing the information on our Xiaohongshu account, connecting Grace with the local community. Through our efforts, a new venue was secured at Angle Brush, allowing the classes to resume.

The program started with 6 students and soon grew to 10 students, ensuring these young artists could continue learning and thriving under Grace’s guidance. This case highlights our commitment to supporting educators and fostering creative opportunities for youth in the community. 

Connecting Local Businesses with Peace Arch Hospital Foundation

We successfully introduced three local businesses — Fisherman’s Chinese Fusion, Moon Thai Massage & Spa, and Maple Sushi Japanese Restaurant — to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, resulting in their inclusion in the Foundation’s 2025 Calendar.

The Peace Arch Hospital Foundation’s mandate is to support local programs and initiatives that foster the creation of the healthiest community possible. To align with this vision, the Foundation collaborated with local businesses in the South Surrey/White Rock area, featuring some each month in their annual calendar.

Through our efforts, Fisherman’s Chinese Fusion, Moon Thai Massage & Spa, and Maple Sushi Japanese Restaurant were spotlighted as key contributors to the community’s wellness and vibrancy. Each business was featured in the calendar with a special coupon, encouraging community members to sample their services.

This collaboration not only provided these businesses with meaningful exposure but also strengthened the Foundation’s efforts to build connections within the community. It’s an excellent example of how we bridges local businesses with impactful community initiatives.

Supporting Local Non-Profits and Small Businesses with Website Design and Maintenance

We provides vital support to local non-profit organizations and small businesses by offering free website design and maintenance services. Using platforms like Wix and 10Web, we help these organizations establish a strong online presence to promote their mission or business effectively.

Our services include:

  • Custom Website Design: Tailored to meet the specific needs of the organization or business.
  • Ongoing Maintenance: Ensuring the website remains functional, updated, and visually appealing.
  • Cost Efficiency: While we cover the design and maintenance labor free of charge, organizations only need to pay for domain registration and platform fees (e.g., Wix or 10Web).

This initiative empowers local non-profits and small businesses to enhance their visibility and impact in the community without worrying about technical or financial barriers. By reducing costs and providing professional-grade solutions, we help them focus on what matters most—serving the community and growing their businesses.
